For our high school graduation exam, each of us was entrusted with a photographer, chosen because of our personal tastes and interests, on which we would later have to take at least 10 photos inspired by his work, and then create a layout using our graphic and typographic skills.
Later we were asked to create a presentation to motivate our choices.
Per l'elaborato di maturità ad ognuno di noi è stato affidato un fotografo, scelto in base ai nostri gusti e
interessi personali.
Analizzando i lavori dell'autore a noi assegnato, avremmo dovuto realizzare almeno 10 foto ispirate dalle sue opere, per poi creare un impaginato utilizzando le nostre competenze grafiche e tipografiche.
In seguito ci è stato chiesto di realizzare una relazione per motivare le nostre scelte.
Per i primi scatti inspirati dall'artista ho deciso di realizzare un breve reportage fotografico di 2 miei amici, entrambi giovani artisti talentuosi, esattamente come Mulas fece a Spoleto negli anni '60. Invece di coprire con miei pensieri le slide dedicate ad i 2 ragazzi ho deciso di lasciare voce ad i miei soggetti per descriversi autonomamente.____For the first shots inspired by the artist I decided to make a short photographic reportage of 2 of my friends, both young talented artists, exactly as Mulas did in Spoleto in the 60s. Instead of covering the slides dedicated to the 2 with my thoughts, I decided to give voice to my subjects to describe themselves independently.
Ho in seguito deciso di realizzare un reportage su me stesso da includere nella presentazione, impostandolo esattamente come i 2 precedenti, in parte per continuare un lavoro di autoritratti svoltosi durante l'anno, in parte perché sentivo il bisogno di spiegare il mio particolare rapporto con la fotografia a chi fosse disposto ad ascoltare._____I later decided to make a reportage on myself to include in the presentation, setting it exactly like the previous 2, partly to continue a work of self-portraits that took place during the year, partly because I felt the need to explain my particular relationship with photography to those willing to listen.
Per questa stampa ho deciso di "plagiare" una delle "Verifiche" di Mulas, innanzitutto per il fascino da me provato scoprendo una tecnica così particolare e, soprattutto, per il particolare periodo in cui l'ho realizzata, ovvero nel pieno dell'emergenza Covid, quando il toccare con mano nuda era diventato quasi tabù, per questo motivo (oltre che per la mia sicurezza) ho realizzato lo stesso lavoro di Mulas ma utilizzando dei guanti in lattice._______For this print I decided to "plagiarize" one of Mulas's "Verifiche", first of all for the fascination I felt looking at such a particular technique and, above all, for the particular period in which I made it, that is in the midst of the Covid emergency, when touching with bare hands had almost become taboo, for this reason (as well as for my own safety) I made the same work as Mulas but using latex gloves.
