The Instagram profile of "Il Nano Tanardo" is a project that I have been carrying out for many years now.
Surely anyone who has seen it will have wondered the reason for the name, well, leaving out the affable aspect of it, the figure of the "Nano Tanardo" (from the Genovese dialect, stupid/ignorant) is this character I invented who looks at the world with the eyes of a child.
A child is ignorant, given his lack of experience, compared to everything around him, he is amazed to discover everything the world has to offer.
Everything is new to him, and even the most insignificant blade of grass on a lawn can become an object of irresistible charm.
The Nano Tanardo however, being my person, to discover the world with new eyes must use a new optical medium in addition to his gaze, namely Photography, and he uses this medium to show his new discoveries to anyone who has eyes to observe.
Il profilo Instagram de "Il Nano Tanardo" è un progetto che porto avanti ormai da molti anni.
Sicuramente chiunque l'abbia visto si sarà chiesto il perché del nome, ebbene, tralasciando l'aspetto affabile dello stesso, la figura del "Nano Tanardo" (dal dialetto Genovese, stupido/ignorante) è questo personaggio da me inventato che guarda il mondo con gli occhi di un bambino.
Un bambino è ignorante, data la sua mancanza di esperienza, rispetto a tutto ciò che lo circonda, si stupisce di scoprire tutto ciò che il mondo ha da offrire.
Per lui qualsiasi cosa è nuova e persino il più insignificante filo d'erba in un prato può diventare oggetto di irresistibile fascino.
Il Nano Tanardo tuttavia, essendo la mia persona, per scoprire il mondo con occhi nuovi deve servirsi di un nuovo mezzo ottico oltre al suo sguardo, ovvero la Fotografia, ed utilizza questo mezzo per mostrare le sue nuove scoperte a chiunque abbia occhi per osservare.
